Australian Lamb (Colac) has introduced an early intervention program that is ready for its next creative step.  The OH&S / WorkCover team consists of 2 Physios, the Return to Work Co-ordinator, the OH&S Co-ordinator led by the OH&S / Work cover Manager


Applications are sought for an experienced RTW Coordinator who possesses a thorough understanding of Victorian Legislation to join a multi-disciplinary team of OHS, WorkCover and Physiotherapists. Reporting to the Manager of OHS/WorkCover, this role has the responsibility to manage early intervention and claims management.

As the RTW Coordinator for the company, you will:

  • Have a minimum of 5 years’ experience
  • Be able to engage with a broad group of people within the organisation as well as external stakeholders
  • Demonstrate a flexible approach and know what good rehabilitation looks like
  • Be prepared to move around the environment of an abattoir

Key Responsibility Areas

  • Actively involved in the early intervention program.
  • Undertake role of rehabilitation and Return to Work Coordinator, ensuring effective case management of employees that are part of a return to work program, and ensure that all WorkCover matters are managed appropriately.
  • Work with all levels of management and staff to build effective relationships and provide fundamental WorkCover and return to work advice as required.
  • Prepare relevant reports relating to WorkCover and return to work for management on a daily and monthly basis.
  • Liaise and develop relationships with a range of internal and external service providers, including the WorkCover insurance provider.

The ideal candidate will have

  • Experience in the manufacturing or Red Meat industry
  • Excellent communication and administration skills.
