Director

Simon Heffernan

With over 25 years of experience in recruitment, my passion for the industry has only grown stronger. For the past 20 years, I've had the privilege of working at Direct Recruitment, and today, I am honoured to serve as the Managing Director of the business.

Recruitment is all about making connections—connecting people with opportunities, and creating positive, memorable experiences for both clients and candidates. I am passionate about the opportunity to transform people's lives by presenting them with new and rewarding career challenges. In my view, the key to success in recruitment lies in building strong partnerships with clients and nurturing meaningful relationships with candidates.

I am incredibly proud of the company we've built together and the values that continue to guide us as an organisation.

Outside of work, I love spending time with my family—especially cheering on my kids as they play sports. I enjoy running, biking, camping, and of course, supporting the mighty Cats!
